This Cookie Notice explains how Yardstick, Inc. (“Yardstick”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at yardstick.team and its subdomains. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle your Personal Information more generally.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. “Similar technologies” include browser local storage, tags, and pixels that can store or read information on your device. We refer to these collectively as “Cookies” in this Notice.
How We Categorize Cookies
Essential Cookies are always active because the site cannot work without them. Analytics Cookies are off by default and are used only after you opt in:

Essential. Required to operate the site and keep you
signed in. This includes a first-party cookie (
ys_consent) that records your cookie choices so we can honor them across our website and app, and, when you use “Sign in with Google” or “Sign in with Microsoft,” first-party session cookies set by those providers (for example, Google’sg_stateor a Microsoftmsal-prefixed cookie) to maintain your sign-in session. -
Analytics. Help us understand site performance and how
visitors interact with the site. This includes a first-party experiment

ys_ab_ai_intake_v1) that keeps you on a consistent version of certain pages — such as our AI tool pages — so we can measure which version works better. Like all Analytics Cookies, it is set only after you opt in, and it is removed if you decline.
This Notice covers cookies and similar technologies stored on or read from your device. It does not cover records we create on our own servers about how you use the product while signed in. Those are described under “Product Usage Data for Logged-In Users” in our Privacy Policy.
We do not currently use advertising, marketing, or cross-context personalization Cookies, and we do not share your activity with third-party advertising networks or data brokers. If that changes, we will update this Notice and our consent controls before any such Cookies are used.
Tags We Use
We use Google Tag Manager to manage our first-party analytics tags. These tags rely on Google Consent Mode, which keeps analytics storage denied until you opt in using the controls below. If you decline, these non-essential Cookies are not used.
How Long Cookies Last
Essential Cookies last only for your session or until you sign out, except
the cookie that records your cookie choices (ys_consent), which
lasts up to 13 months, or until you change your choices or clear your browser
storage. Analytics Cookies set through
Google Analytics (for example, _ga and _ga_<id>)
have a maximum lifespan set by Google — currently up to two years
— and may be refreshed while you continue to use the site; our
experiment cookie (ys_ab_ai_intake_v1) lasts up to 12 months. The
analytics data itself is retained for no longer than the period configured
in our Google Analytics account. You can clear Cookies at any time through
your browser, or withdraw consent using the control below.
