Greenhouse pricing

Greenhouse sells three plans, Core, Plus, and Pro, and publishes no price for any of them. Here is what its own pages say sets the quote, what its subscription agreement says about headcount, renewal, and notice, and how that compares with systems that publish a price. Checked on October 14, 2026.

Greenhouse's plans and what each one adds.

Greenhouse sells Core, Plus, and Pro. Each plan builds on the one before it, and each has a Get a demo button where a price would be. Greenhouse's FAQ says a Greenhouse expert recommends the plan and provides custom pricing, and that you can upgrade at any time.

The last column lists a few things each plan adds, not the whole plan. AI is on every plan. Greenhouse's feature table shows interview question suggestions, scorecard attribute suggestions, and job post description suggestions on Core, Plus, and Pro, and Greenhouse MCP is in open beta for site admins on all three. For every line, see Greenhouse's pricing page.

What sets the Greenhouse price.

Greenhouse's pricing FAQ names four things. “The cost of Greenhouse is influenced by the plan you choose (Core, Plus or Pro), your hiring volume and organizational complexity, and the features and capabilities required to support your workflows.”

The subscription agreement adds the unit. Unless your order form says otherwise, subscription fees are based on your employee headcount, and that count includes the employees of any affiliates that use Greenhouse or that it is used for. The fee is set by what you buy for the term rather than by how much you use it, so within that term a quiet quarter is billed the same as a busy one.

The plan is the other lever. A company that wants email automation, texting, or auto-reject and auto-advance rules needs Plus, where Greenhouse's feature table first shows them. An audit log or a developer sandbox means Pro.

Some costs sit outside the plan. The agreement lists data migration, implementation, training, and custom development as professional services, ordered separately under their own addendum. API use is subject to the usage limits, rate limits, and fees in your order form, and the agreement lets Greenhouse charge additional fees for some API use at its then-current rates for comparable usage.

Paying, renewing, and leaving.

These terms are from Greenhouse's Master Subscription Agreement, last updated February 1, 2026. Your order form may set different terms, so read it alongside.

Fees are due in advance and are based on the services you buy, not on how much you use them. They are payable within 30 days of an invoice and are non-cancelable and non-refundable, except in the cases the agreement lists, such as ending it over an uncured breach.

The initial term is set in your order form. After it, each subscription renews for another year unless either side gives written notice of cancellation at least 30 days before the renewal term starts. For terms of a year or longer, Greenhouse says it will notify you of a pending auto-renewal at least 60 days before. The agreement also says, “Greenhouse reserves the right to increase Fees upon renewal.”

While the contract runs, you get an API key to export your data at no cost. After it ends, Greenhouse can provide an export file at its then-current data migration rates if you ask within 30 days, and all customer data is queued for deletion 90 days after the end. If you might move, export before the renewal date.

What to settle before you sign or renew.

Because the price is a quote, these are the numbers to get in writing from Greenhouse.

  1. The headcount the quote is based on, and whether it counts affiliates.
  2. The plan, and which features you use today that sit on Plus or Pro.
  3. The length of the initial term and the price for each year of it.
  4. Any cap on the increase at renewal, written into the order form.
  5. The last day to give notice, which is 30 days before the renewal term starts unless your order form sets different terms.
  6. Any professional services fees, such as implementation or data migration, and any API limits in the order form.

Reviewers on Capterra rate Greenhouse 4.2 out of 5 for value for money, and 83% call it good or excellent value. Capterra's summary of those reviews says some find the pricing a barrier for smaller companies and note that it can increase yearly.

Greenhouse next to systems that publish a price.

Applicant tracking systems bill on different things, so the useful comparison is what each price follows. Here are four that publish one, read from their own pricing pages on October 14, 2026.

Eight systems, Greenhouse among them, are on our ATS pricing comparison, with the plan where scorecards start and what each says about its API. Seven Greenhouse alternatives with their published prices are on Greenhouse alternatives.

Yardstick, our product, bills a monthly plan fee plus each open role. The first three Jobs are free, and Core is $49 a month plus $29 for each role you have open, billed monthly, with no annual plan and no paid seats for interviewers or hiring managers. Three open roles on Core come to $136 a month, and when a role closes its charge stops the next month. The AI designs the interview guide and scorecard for each role on every account, including the free one, and your team edits both. Full Yardstick pricing is on the pricing page, and the export and import steps are on switching from Greenhouse.

Common questions about Greenhouse pricing.

How much does Greenhouse cost?

Greenhouse does not publish a price for any plan. Its pricing page says the cost is influenced by the plan you choose (Core, Plus or Pro), your hiring volume and organizational complexity, and the features you need, and that a Greenhouse expert provides custom pricing. Its subscription agreement says subscription fees are based on your employee headcount unless your order form says otherwise. Checked October 14, 2026.

Does Greenhouse charge per user or per employee?

Greenhouse's Master Subscription Agreement says subscription fees are based on the customer's employee headcount, including the employees of affiliates that use Greenhouse or that it is used for, unless the order form says otherwise. The pricing page lists no per-user price.

Does Greenhouse have a free plan or a free trial?

Neither appears on Greenhouse's pricing page. Each of the three plans has a Get a demo button, and pricing comes from a Greenhouse expert.

Which Greenhouse plan includes interview kits and scorecards?

Core, the first plan. Greenhouse's pricing page lists structured interview kits and scorecards on Core, and its feature table shows interview question suggestions and scorecard attribute suggestions on all three plans.

Does a Greenhouse contract renew automatically?

Yes, unless your order form sets different terms. The subscription agreement renews each subscription for another year unless either side gives written notice of cancellation at least 30 days before the renewal term starts. For terms of a year or longer, Greenhouse says it will notify you of a pending auto-renewal at least 60 days before.

Can Greenhouse raise the price at renewal?

The subscription agreement says, "Greenhouse reserves the right to increase Fees upon renewal." That sentence names no limit on the increase, so ask for a cap in the order form.

Is Greenhouse billed monthly or yearly?

The pricing page does not say. The subscription agreement says fees are due in advance, are based on the services purchased rather than actual usage, are non-cancelable and non-refundable except in the cases the agreement lists, and are payable within 30 days of an invoice. Capterra's Greenhouse pricing page lists all three plans as a custom quote per year.

What happens to my data if I leave Greenhouse?

During the contract, the subscription agreement gives you an API key to export your data at no cost. After the contract ends, Greenhouse can provide an export file at its then-current data migration rates if you ask within 30 days, and all customer data is queued for deletion 90 days after the end.

How current is this page?

Every Greenhouse fact was read from Greenhouse's own pages, and the reviewer figures from Capterra, on October 14, 2026. We recheck quarterly. If Greenhouse's pages, or your order form, and this page disagree, theirs win.
