Teamtailor vs Recruitee
Teamtailor and Recruitee, two European applicant tracking systems sold on a quote, on billing basis, minimum term, open-job limits, structured interviewing, and data hosting, all taken from the vendors' own pages on September 11, 2026. Yardstick is our product and appears once, as a third option at the end.
How this page works.
- 1Every fact is from the vendor's own page, checked on September 11, 2026.Pricing pages, terms and conditions, and help-center articles, all on the vendor's own domain. Vendors change pages. Check the vendor's pricing page and your order form before you sign anything.
- 2Neither vendor publishes a price. The page sticks to what you can still check today: what the quote is based on, what the minimum term is, how many open jobs each plan allows, where structured interviewing (scorecards and interview plans) starts, and where your data is hosted.
- 3We do not pick a winner. Both are European applicant tracking systems sold on a quote. The page says what each one publishes and stops there.
- 4Yardstick is our product. It appears once, at the end, as a third option. Everything above that section is about the two of them.
What each one is.
Teamtailor
Teamtailor is an applicant tracking system from Teamtailor AB in Stockholm, sold on a quote. Its pricing page publishes no price and no plan names. It says every customer gets unlimited job postings and unlimited users, customer support for all users, over 250 features, and integration with your existing HR tech stack, and it sells one offer for companies up to 1,000 employees and an Enterprise offer for 1,000 and up.
Teamtailor's terms and conditions set an Initial Contract Period in the order form. After that the agreement renews automatically for a Renewal Period of twelve months, invoiced yearly in advance, unless either party gives written notice at least one month before the current period ends. Teamtailor may adjust fees for an upcoming renewal period with sixty days' written notice.
Teamtailor's interview kits page describes a kit as interview instructions, relevant questions, and a scorecard to grade candidate responses, filled out during the interview. No plan or add-on is named for it. Teamtailor links public API documentation, and its help center documents an MCP server that ChatGPT and Claude can connect to over OAuth, with Read, Create and Modify, and Delete access levels, activated by a company admin. Data is hosted in one of three regions, Europe (Ireland), North America (Oregon), or Asia-Pacific (Australia).
Recruitee
Recruitee, sold as Tellent Recruitee, is an applicant tracking system in three plans, Start, Advance, and Optimize, with no price published for any of them. Its pricing page says subscriptions are tiered by the plan, the number of employees at your organization, and the billing period; that contracts have a minimum commitment of one year, with monthly payment possible; and that paying annually gives a 20% discount. Agencies are asked to contact Recruitee for a custom quote. A free trial with no credit card is offered.
Recruitee Start allows 5 active job posts and includes a single-page careers site, multi-job board posting, team feedback and notes, pipeline automation, AI-powered email and feedback writing, email and calendar sync, standard reporting, more than 200 marketplace integrations, and API access. Recruitee Advance adds unlimited job posts, a multi-page careers site, employee referrals, an AI Screening Assistant and Matching Assistant with monthly allowances, knockout questions, workflow automations, candidate self-scheduling, Structured evaluation forms, offer letter generation, and custom reporting.
Recruitee Optimize adds SSO, a dedicated customer success manager, the Screening Assistant with full functionality, fairness tools, requisition approval workflows, API support, a testing environment, and BI integrations. Recruitee's security page says all of your data will stay within the European Union, and its help center names Google data centers in Frankfurt and Berlin and Amazon data centers in Frankfurt and Ireland. Its API help collection has no article on MCP or AI assistants.

Where the two actually differ.
Recruitee states its minimum term on the pricing page; Teamtailor's is in the terms and the order form.
Recruitee answers the question in its pricing FAQ: contracts have a minimum commitment of one year, monthly payment is possible, and annual payment takes 20% off. Teamtailor's pricing page says nothing about a term. Its terms and conditions set the first period in the order form and renew it for twelve months at a time, invoiced yearly in advance, unless you give one month's written notice. If you want a number of months on paper before the call, Recruitee has printed one and Teamtailor's is in your order form.
Recruitee caps open jobs on Start; Teamtailor publishes no cap.
Recruitee Start allows 5 active job posts, and Advance lifts that to unlimited. Teamtailor's pricing page promises unlimited job postings and unlimited users to every customer, with the split falling on company size instead: one offer up to 1,000 employees and an Enterprise offer above it. A team that runs six or more roles at once is on Recruitee Advance by definition, and on either Teamtailor offer.
Structured interviewing sits on a named plan at Recruitee and on no named plan at Teamtailor.
Recruitee lists Structured evaluation forms, its templates for feedback and scoring, on Advance, the middle plan, not on Start. Teamtailor describes an interview kit as instructions, questions, and a scorecard, and neither its interview kits page nor its pricing page names an offer or an add-on for it. If a written interview plan and a shared scorecard are why you are buying, that is the plan to ask Recruitee about, and the question to ask Teamtailor on the call.
Teamtailor documents an MCP server; Recruitee's API help center does not.
Teamtailor's help center has a collection on MCP and AI agents, with an article on connecting ChatGPT or Claude over OAuth and three access levels a company admin can grant. Recruitee's API help collection covers API documentation, webhooks, field mapping, and an API FAQ, with nothing on MCP or AI assistants. Both publish an API. If you want your own assistant to read and act in the system, Teamtailor has published how; at Recruitee it is an API question.
If neither fits: a third option.
Both vendors above sell on a quote with a year-shaped term, and both put the interview plan on a form your team fills in. If you want a price you can read before the call, a bill that follows your open roles, and the interview itself designed for the role on the first free account, Yardstick is built for that shape.
Yardstick designs the interview guide and scorecard for the role you are hiring, so every candidate has the same important conversation, is scored on the same scale, and the interview produces evidence about who will perform in this job. The AI drafts the guide and the scorecard; your team edits them and makes every hiring decision. Interviewers open the guide on a magic link, with no paid seats to buy. Structured interviews, scorecards, scheduling, a talent CRM, and the public API are on every account, including the free one.
Yardstick pricing is billed on open roles: the first three Jobs are free, then Yardstick Core is $49 a month plus $29 per open role, billed monthly, and Yardstick Scale is $149 a month plus $19 per open role. One open role on Yardstick Core is $78 a month, two are $107, and three are $136. A role you close stops billing the next month, and there is no annual commitment. Interviewers and hiring managers are never charged as seats.
The agent path is your own agent. You chat with Claude Code or Codex, it runs the yardstick CLI, and the actions that matter wait for your approval: publishing a job, advancing or rejecting a candidate, emailing one. Claude and ChatGPT can connect over MCP on every account, free included.
Yardstick is not an HRIS, and it is not built for a thousand-person organization standardizing a global process. SSO, SCIM, and audit logs are on the Enterprise plan.
Teamtailor and Recruitee both appear alongside five other systems on Workable alternatives. For eight systems on published price, billing basis, and minimum term, see the ATS pricing comparison. For which ATS vendors document an MCP server today, see agent-operable ATS. Full Yardstick pricing is on the pricing page.
