Freshteam alternatives

Freshworks stopped all Freshteam renewals on June 7, 2026, so no account renews past its current term. After that term ends, the account stays open for 90 days so you can export your data. Below is what that means for your data, then five alternatives with their published prices and whether each covers hiring, HR records, or both. Everything was checked on October 2, 2026. Yardstick is our product and is one of the five.

What happens to Freshteam.

Freshworks says it is sunsetting Freshteam to focus on a more unified employee experience platform. Trade reporting says the capability is being folded into Freshservice for Business Teams.

The dates come from Freshteam's own sunset FAQ:

  1. 1March 7, 2026.Free accounts expired, and annual and half-yearly renewals stopped. Monthly plans could still renew.
  2. 2June 7, 2026.All renewals stopped.
  3. 3The end of your current term.You can use Freshteam until then. There are no refunds for the remaining time.
  4. 490 days after your term ends.Your account stays open so you can download your data. After that, the data is deleted.

To get your data out, an account admin goes to Admin settings, then Account, then Export account data, and clicks Request Now. Freshteam emails you when the export is ready. Freshteam's help article says the export includes candidates, jobs, requisitions, offers, and interview feedback forms on the hiring side, and employees, onboarding and offboarding, payroll, time off, and tasks on the HR side.

Request the export before you need it, while you still have time left on your term.

Hiring and HR together

  • BambooHR — HR records on every plan with an applicant tracking system built in; flat price at 25 employees or fewer

    Best for: a company that ran its employee records in Freshteam and wants hiring and HR in one product.

    • At 25 employees or fewer, BambooHR's plans are a flat monthly price: Core $250, Pro $425, and Elite $650. Above 25 employees, the price is per employee: $10, $17, and $25 a month.
    • Employee records, time off, and onboarding are on every BambooHR plan.
    • The applicant tracking system is on Core, with email and offer letter templates. Core allows 5 open jobs, Pro 25, and Elite 50.
    • BambooHR offers month-to-month terms or a longer term.

  • Workable — Recruiting priced by employee band from $299 a month, with HR sold alongside recruiting; interview kits, scorecards, and API on every plan

    Best for: a company that wants interview kits on the entry plan and the option of HR from the same vendor.

    • At 1 to 20 employees, Workable's Standard plan is $299 a month or $3,588 a year, Premier is $599 a month or $7,188 a year, and Enterprise is $719 a month or $8,628 a year.
    • Workable bills monthly or annually, with 20% off for annual, and publishes a 15-day trial of the Standard plan with no credit card required.
    • Interview kits, scorecards, and API access are on every Workable plan.
    • Workable sells HR alongside recruiting and says bundling the two saves up to 20%. Performance and engagement is a $39 a month add-on on Standard and is included on Premier and Enterprise.

Hiring only

  • Breezy HR — Free for one open position, paid plans from $157 a month on annual billing; interview guides and scorecards start on Growth

    Best for: a small team that hires steadily and wants a flat monthly price.

    • Breezy HR's Bootstrap plan is free for one active position or candidate pool at a time, with unlimited users.
    • Startup is $157 a month, Growth $273, and Business $439 on annual billing, or $189, $329, and $529 billed monthly. Custom Pro is quoted.
    • Customizable interview guides and scorecards start on Growth. API access is on Custom Pro.
    • Breezy publishes a full-feature 14-day trial with no credit card. Onboarding and performance are separate Breezy products (Onboard and Perform), not part of the hiring plans.

  • JazzHR — Yearly plans from $1,000 a year; structured interviews start on the second plan

    Best for: a small team hiring a few roles at a time that is comfortable with a yearly price.

    • JazzHR's Hero plan is $1,000 a year, Plus is $3,480 a year, and Pro is $5,508 a year, billed annually. Monthly billing is offered at higher rates.
    • Hero starts at 3 job postings a month, and Plus allows up to 200 active jobs.
    • Structured interviews and assessments are on Plus. Offers and eSignatures are on Pro.

  • Yardstick — An AI-designed interview guide for each role, priced per open role from free, run by your AI agent if you want

    Best for: a company that used Freshteam mainly to hire, where the hiring manager owns the interview loop.

If you are moving off Freshteam.

Request the export first. An admin requests it in a few clicks, Freshteam emails you when it is ready, and you have until 90 days after your term ends. Keep the file even after you have imported it.

Then decide which half you are replacing. If you only hired in Freshteam, start with the hiring-only products, and check where offers and structured interviews sit on each plan. If your employee records, time off, and payroll lived there too, either pick a product that sells both, or pair a hiring tool with an HR system you already use for payroll.

Then check where interview guides and scorecards start, and what the bill is based on. BambooHR and Workable price by headcount. Breezy HR and JazzHR are flat by plan. Is Freshteam shutting down?

Yes. Freshworks is sunsetting Freshteam. Annual and half-yearly renewals stopped on March 7, 2026 and all renewals stopped on June 7, 2026, according to Freshteam's sunset FAQ. Each account works until its current term ends.
