Breezy HR alternatives

Seven alternatives to Breezy HR, with each vendor's price, minimum term, and the plan where interview guides and scorecards start, all taken from the vendors' own pages on October 1, 2026. Yardstick is our product and is one of the seven.

What Breezy HR costs.

Breezy HR publishes prices for three plans, quotes a fourth (Custom Pro), and has a free tier. Bootstrap is free and allows one active position or candidate pool at a time, with unlimited users and unlimited candidates, though on Bootstrap you keep full access only to candidates added in the last 30 days. Startup is $157 a month, Growth $273, and Business $439 on annual billing, which Breezy says includes two months free. Billed monthly, the same plans are $189, $329, and $529. Custom Pro is quoted.

Each published Breezy plan is one flat monthly price, and Startup and Growth list unlimited positions. There is a full-feature 14-day trial with no credit card, and the pricing page does not state a minimum term.

Two things sit above the entry plans. Interview Guides and Scorecards first appear on Growth, so a team that wants a written interview plan and a shared scorecard pays $273 a month at least. API access is listed on Custom Pro only. Breezy Intelligence, Breezy's AI, is an add-on on every plan from $30 per 100,000 credits.

That is the baseline. Each alternative below is described the same way, so you can hold it against the Breezy plan you are on or were quoted.

How this list works.

  1. 1Every fact is from the vendor's own page, checked on October 1, 2026.Where a vendor's page does not state something, the entry says so instead of guessing.
  2. 2The list is grouped, not ranked.Vendors that publish a price come first, alphabetically, then vendors that quote, alphabetically. Position says nothing about quality.
  3. 3"Structured interviewing from" is the plan where the vendor lists interview guides, kits, or scorecards. At Breezy HR that is Growth. If that is the reason you are looking, this column is the one to read.
  4. 4Yardstick is our product. It is one row, held to the same columns as the others, and it is the only row we can speak for from the inside.

The seven alternatives

Publish a price

  • Ashby — Published prices from $300 to $900 a month by headcount up to 100 employees; interview plans on every All-in-One plan; API and an MCP server on every plan

Best for: a company of up to 100 employees that wants interview plans and analytics on the entry plan and can pay a company-size price.

    • Ashby's Foundations plan is $300 to $900 a month depending on headcount: $300 at 1 to 10 employees, $400 at 11 to 25, $500 at 26 to 50, $700 at 51 to 75, and $900 at 76 to 100. Ashby's Plus plan, for 101 to 1,000 employees, and Enterprise plan, for 1,000 and up, are priced on request.
    • Ashby bills by company size band and publishes a 10% discount for an annual commitment. No minimum term, free tier, or trial is published on the pricing page we checked.
    • Customizable interview plans, with interviewer instructions and feedback forms, are on every Ashby All-in-One plan, including Foundations.
    • Ashby's public API and an MCP server are on every plan. AI runs on credits: 1,500 a month on Foundations.

Watch-out: Ashby's entry price is above Breezy HR's Startup plan, and above 100 employees Plus is quoted. The same view from the Ashby side is on our Ashby alternatives page.

  • JazzHR — Plans from $1,000 a year or $110 a month; structured interviews start on the second plan

Best for: small teams hiring a few roles at a time.

    • JazzHR's Hero plan is $1,000 a year, Plus is $3,480 a year, and Pro is $5,508 a year, each billed annually, or $110, $350, and $549 a month billed monthly.
    • JazzHR's pricing page says paying yearly saves up to 24%. Hero starts at 3 job postings a month, and Plus and Pro allow up to 200 active jobs. No trial is mentioned on the pricing page we checked.
    • Structured Interviews and Assessments are listed on JazzHR's Plus plan, along with AI-Powered Candidate Matching. Offers and eSignatures are on Pro.

Watch-out: Compare JazzHR's yearly figures with Breezy's annual prices times twelve. Breezy against JazzHR, line by line, is on our Breezy vs JazzHR page.

  • Workable — Three published tiers priced by employee band, from $299 a month; interview kits, scorecards, and API on every plan

Best for: teams that want interview kits and API access on the entry plan and can read their own employee band.

    • At 1 to 20 employees and billed annually, Workable's Standard plan is $299 a month or $3,588 a year, Premier is $599 a month or $7,188 a year, and Enterprise is $719 a month or $8,628 a year. Workable prices by employee band, and the figures here are the 1 to 20 band.
    • Workable bills Standard month to month at $360 or annually with 20% off, bills Premier and Enterprise annually, and does not state a minimum term. Workable publishes a 15-day trial with no credit card required.
    • Interview kits and scorecards are on every Workable plan, including Standard.
    • API access and Workable's MCP server are on every Workable plan, and Workable includes 3,000 free AI credits with every paid plan.

Watch-out: Workable's price moves with your employee band, so read the band you expect to be in next year. Workable against Breezy HR is on our Workable vs Breezy page.

  • Yardstick — AI-designed interview guide for each role, agent-operable on every account, priced per open role

Best for: teams where the hiring manager owns the interview loop and wants to pay per open role, not per company plan.

    • The AI designs the interview guide and scorecard for each role, so every candidate has the same important conversation and is scored against the same written anchors. Your team edits both, and both are on every account, including free.
    • Yardstick is free for 3 Jobs, then $49 a month plus $29 per open role (as of September 2026). Yardstick Scale is $149 a month plus $19 per open role. Billed monthly on open roles, with no annual commitment and no seat charges for interviewers or hiring managers, who open their interview kits on magic links.
    • Your own agent can run the admin: you chat with Claude Code or Codex, it runs the yardstick CLI, and publishing a job, advancing or rejecting a candidate, or emailing one waits for your approval. The public API, CLI, and MCP are on every Yardstick account, including free.
    • Your Breezy export goes in through the preview-first importer: your agent converts it, the dry run shows every row, and you approve before anything is written.

Watch-out: Yardstick is a structured-interview ATS with a talent CRM built in, not an HRIS. SSO, SCIM, and advanced audit logs are on the Enterprise plan.

Quote on request

  • Greenhouse — Three tiers priced on request; structured interview kits and scorecards on every tier

Best for: teams heading toward enterprise process that want interview kits and scorecards on the entry tier and are set up to take a quote.

    • Greenhouse does not publish a price. Its pricing page says pricing is customized based on your company's hiring needs, across the Core, Plus, and Pro tiers.
    • Greenhouse publishes no billing basis, minimum term, or trial on the pricing page we checked.
    • Structured interview kits, scorecards, and e-Signature are on every Greenhouse tier, including Core. Scorecard attribute suggestions and interview question suggestions are listed on every tier, and an AI Notetaker on Core.
    • A developer sandbox and sync are listed on Greenhouse's Pro tier.

Watch-out: No price, term, or trial on the Greenhouse page we checked. The same view from the Greenhouse side is on our Greenhouse alternatives page.

  • Recruitee (Tellent) — Three plans on a one-year minimum; structured evaluation forms from the second plan

Best for: teams that want API access on every plan and can commit for a year.

    • Recruitee does not publish a price for its Start, Advance, and Optimize plans. The pricing page says the price depends on the plan, the number of employees, and the billing period, and offers a free trial without stating its length.
    • Recruitee's contracts have a minimum commitment of one year, with a 20% discount for paying annually.
    • Structured evaluation forms start on Recruitee's Advance plan.
    • API access is on all three Recruitee plans; Optimize adds API support and a testing environment.

Watch-out: Recruitee's contracts carry a one-year minimum commitment, whatever the billing period.

  • Teamtailor — One quote for companies up to 1,000 employees, with unlimited job postings and unlimited users

Best for: a team that posts many jobs at once, wants every colleague in the system, and is set up to take a quote.

    • Teamtailor does not publish a price. Its pricing page offers a quote, with one offer for companies up to 1,000 employees and an Enterprise offer for 1,000 and up.
    • Teamtailor's pricing page lists unlimited job postings and unlimited users.
    • Teamtailor lists conducting structured interviews as a feature, without naming a plan or add-on.
    • No billing basis, minimum term, or trial is stated on the pricing page we checked.

Watch-out: The term is not on the pricing page, so ask for it on the call. Teamtailor against Recruitee is on our Teamtailor vs Recruitee page.

If you are moving off Breezy HR.

Export first. Whichever alternative you pick, get your candidates, jobs, and applications out while the account is still active. The pricing page does not describe the export, so ask Breezy how it works for your plan before you cancel.

Then check where structured interviewing starts. If you are on Bootstrap or Startup and moving because you want interview guides and scorecards, four of the seven include them on the entry plan: Ashby, Greenhouse, Workable, and Yardstick. JazzHR and Recruitee put them one plan up, and Teamtailor lists structured interviews without naming a plan.

Then check the term and what the bill is based on. Recruitee commits you for a year, and Ashby and Workable price by company size. Yardstick bills monthly on open roles: $49 a month plus $29 per open role after three free Jobs, and a role you close stops billing the next month.

Your Breezy export goes into Yardstick preview-first: your agent converts it for the importer, you see exactly what will be written, and nothing is written until you approve the dry run. For how a move works end to end, see switching to Yardstick. For eight ATS prices on one page, see the ATS pricing comparison, and full Yardstick pricing is on the pricing page.

Common questions about Breezy HR alternatives.

What is the best alternative to Breezy HR?

We do not name one. The seven here differ on things you can check today: whether the price is published (Ashby, JazzHR, Workable, and Yardstick publish; Greenhouse, Recruitee, and Teamtailor quote), what the bill is based on, whether there is a minimum term, and which plan includes structured interviewing. Pick the column that matters to you and read down it.

Is there a free alternative to Breezy HR?

Yardstick is the only one of the seven with a published free tier. Its first three Jobs are free, with the AI-designed interview guide, scorecards, and the public API, CLI, and MCP included. Workable publishes a 15-day trial and Recruitee a free trial of unstated length. Breezy HR's own Bootstrap plan is free for one active position or candidate pool at a time.

Which Breezy HR alternatives are cheaper?

It depends on how many roles you run at once. Breezy HR's plans are flat prices, from $157 a month on annual billing. JazzHR's Hero plan is $1,000 a year, or $110 billed monthly. Yardstick is $49 a month plus $29 per open role after three free Jobs, so it moves with the number of open roles: $78 a month with one open role on Core, $136 with three. Ashby ($300 a month at 1 to 10 employees) and Workable ($299 a month at 1 to 20 employees on annual billing) start higher. Greenhouse, Recruitee, and Teamtailor quote.

Which alternatives include interview guides and scorecards on the entry plan?

Ashby (interview plans on Foundations), Greenhouse (interview kits and scorecards on Core), Workable (interview kits and scorecards on Standard), and Yardstick (on the free account). JazzHR starts structured interviews at Plus and Recruitee starts structured evaluation forms at Advance. Teamtailor lists structured interviews as a feature without naming a plan. At Breezy HR they start on Growth.

Which alternatives have API access on every plan?

Ashby (API and MCP server), Recruitee, Workable (API and MCP server), and Yardstick (public API, CLI, and MCP, including the free account). Greenhouse's pricing page does not state API access by plan; it lists a developer sandbox on Pro. JazzHR's and Teamtailor's pricing pages do not state API access either. At Breezy HR, API access is on Custom Pro.

How current is this list?

Every fact was read from the vendor's own pricing page on October 1, 2026. We recheck quarterly. If a vendor's page and this page disagree, the vendor's page wins.
