JazzHR alternatives

Seven alternatives to JazzHR, with each vendor's price, minimum term, and the plan where interview guides and scheduling start, all taken from the vendors' own pages on October 13, 2026. Yardstick is our product and is one of the seven.

What JazzHR costs.

JazzHR publishes three plans. Hero is $1,000 a year, Plus $3,480, and Pro $5,508 when billed yearly. Billed monthly, the same plans are $110, $350, and $549 a month, and JazzHR says paying yearly saves up to 24%. Each plan is one flat price. Hero starts at three job postings a month, and Plus and Pro allow up to 200 active jobs.

Most of the interview tooling sits on Plus. JazzHR's plan comparison lists interview guides, candidate evaluation templates, knockout questions, and the recruiting calendar with Google Calendar and Outlook sync on Plus and Pro, and not on Hero. Plus also adds structured interviews and assessments. So a team that wants a written interview plan and synced calendars pays $3,480 a year at least, or $350 a month.

Some things cost more again. Advanced visual reporting and offers with eSignatures are add-ons on Plus and included on Pro. JazzHR's footnote says standard pricing does not apply to staffing or recruiting agencies, HR service providers, franchises, multi-location businesses, or organizations with over 250 employees. JazzHR offers a 14-day free trial with unlimited users and no credit card required, on its free trial page. Its FAQ says it offers month-to-month and yearly contracts with no termination fees. The pricing page does not list API access on any plan, though JazzHR documents an API publicly.

That is the baseline. Each alternative below is described the same way, so you can hold it against the JazzHR plan you are on or were quoted.

How this list works.

  1. 1Every fact is from the vendor's own page, checked on October 13, 2026.Where a vendor's page does not state something, the entry says so instead of guessing.
  2. 2The list is grouped, not ranked.Vendors that publish a price come first, alphabetically, then vendors that quote, alphabetically. Position says nothing about quality.
  3. 3Two columns show where the interview tools start."Interview guides from" is the plan where the vendor lists interview guides, kits, plans, or scorecards. "Scheduling from" is the plan where it lists calendar sync or interview scheduling. At JazzHR both start on Plus.
  4. 4Yardstick is our product. It is one row, held to the same columns as the others, and it is the one row we can speak for from the inside.

The seven alternatives

Publish a price

  • Ashby — Published prices from $300 to $900 a month by headcount up to 100 employees; interview plans, calendar sync, API, and an MCP server on every plan

Best for: a company of up to 100 employees that wants interview plans and an API on the entry plan and can pay a company-size price.

    • Ashby's Foundations plan is $300 to $900 a month depending on headcount: $300 at 1 to 10 employees, $400 at 11 to 25, $500 at 26 to 50, $700 at 51 to 75, and $900 at 76 to 100. Ashby's Plus plan, for 101 to 1,000 employees, and Enterprise plan, for 1,000 and up, are priced on request.
    • Ashby offers monthly or yearly payment and publishes a 10% discount for an annual commitment. No minimum term, free tier, or trial is published on the pricing page we checked.
    • Customizable interview plans, with interviewer instructions and feedback forms, and two-way Google Workspace and Office 365 calendar sync are on every Ashby All-in-One plan, including Foundations.
    • Ashby's public API and an MCP server are on every plan. AI runs on credits, 1,500 a month on Foundations.

Watch-out: Ashby's price rises with headcount, and above 100 employees Plus is quoted. The same view from the Ashby side is on our Ashby alternatives page.

  • Breezy HR — A free plan for one open position, then flat plans from $157 a month; calendar sync on Startup, interview guides and scorecards from Growth

Best for: small teams that want a monthly option, calendar sync on the first paid plan, and a free plan to run one role.

    • Breezy HR's Bootstrap plan is free for one active position or candidate pool at a time, with unlimited users and candidates. On Bootstrap you keep full access only to candidates added in the last 30 days.
    • Startup is $157 a month, Growth $273, and Business $439 on annual billing, which Breezy says includes two months free. Billed monthly, they are $189, $329, and $529. Custom Pro is quoted. Breezy offers a 14-day trial with no credit card.
    • Email and calendar integration (G Suite and Office 365) and interview self-scheduling are on Startup. Customizable interview guides and scorecards start on Growth.
    • API access is an option on the quoted Custom Pro plan. Breezy Intelligence, Breezy's AI, is an add-on on every plan, with credits from $30 per 100,000.

Watch-out: Interview guides and scorecards cost $273 a month at least on Breezy. Breezy against JazzHR, line by line, is on our Breezy vs JazzHR page, and the Breezy side is on our Breezy HR alternatives page.

  • Workable — Three published tiers priced by employee band, from $299 a month; interview kits, scorecards, calendar sync, and API on every plan

Best for: teams that want interview kits, calendar sync, and API access on the entry plan and can read their own employee band.

    • At 1 to 20 employees and billed annually, Workable's Standard plan is $299 a month or $3,588 a year, Premier is $599 a month or $7,188 a year, and Enterprise is $719 a month or $8,628 a year. Workable prices by employee band, and the figures here are the 1 to 20 band.
    • Workable bills Standard month to month at $360 or annually with 20% off, and bills Premier and Enterprise annually. It does not state a minimum term, and it publishes a 15-day trial with no credit card required.
    • Interview kits and scorecards, self-scheduled interviews, and two-way calendar sync with Gmail and Microsoft 365 are on every Workable plan, including Standard.
    • API access is on every Workable plan, and Workable's help center documents an MCP server on all plans. The Workable Agent, its AI recruiting agent, is an add-on that runs on AI credits, and every paid account starts with 3,000 free credits.

Watch-out: Workable's price moves with your employee band, so read the band you expect to be in next year. The same view from the Workable side is on our Workable alternatives page.

  • Yardstick — AI-designed interview guide for each role, operable by your own AI agent, priced per open role

Best for: teams where the hiring manager owns the interview loop and wants to pay per open role, not per company plan.

    • The AI designs the interview guide and scorecard for each role before anyone is scheduled, so every candidate has the same important conversation and is scored against the same written anchors. Your team edits both, and both are on every account, including free.
    • Your own AI agent can run the admin. You chat with it, it runs the yardstick CLI, and publishing a job, advancing or rejecting a candidate, or emailing one waits for your approval. The public API, CLI, and MCP are on every Yardstick account, including free.
    • Interview scheduling runs on the Cal.com or Calendly account your team already uses, on every account. Candidates book themselves, and if a scorecard is still missing after the interview, the chase missing scorecards agent reminds the interviewer, and then the hiring manager. More on interview scheduling.
    • Yardstick is free for 3 Jobs, then $49 a month plus $29 per open role (as of October 2026). Yardstick Scale is $149 a month plus $19 per open role. Billed monthly on open roles, with no annual commitment and no seat charges for interviewers or hiring managers, who open their interview kits on magic links.
    • Your JazzHR export goes in through the preview-first importer. Your agent converts it, the dry run shows every row, and you approve before anything is written.

Watch-out: Yardstick is a structured-interview ATS with a talent CRM built in, not an HRIS. SSO, SCIM, and advanced audit logs are on the Enterprise plan.

Quote on request

  • Greenhouse — Three tiers priced on request; structured interview kits, scorecards, and scheduling on every tier

Best for: teams heading toward enterprise process that want interview kits and scorecards on the entry tier and are set up to take a quote.

    • Greenhouse does not publish a price. Its pricing page says pricing is customized based on your company's hiring needs, across the Core, Plus, and Pro tiers.
    • Greenhouse publishes no billing basis, minimum term, or trial on the pricing page we checked.
    • Structured interview kits and scorecards, an AI Notetaker, and scheduling are on Core. Interview question suggestions, scorecard attribute suggestions, candidate self-scheduling, and e-Signature are listed on every tier.
    • A developer sandbox and sandbox sync are on Greenhouse's Pro tier.

Watch-out: No price, term, or trial on the Greenhouse page we checked. The same view from the Greenhouse side is on our Greenhouse alternatives page.

  • Recruitee (Tellent) — Three plans on a one-year minimum; calendar sync and API from the first plan, structured evaluation forms from the second

Best for: teams that want API access on every plan and can commit for a year.

    • Recruitee does not publish a price for its Start, Advance, and Optimize plans. The pricing page says the price depends on the plan, the number of employees, and the billing period, and offers a free trial with no credit card, without stating its length.
    • Recruitee's contracts have a minimum commitment of one year. You can pay monthly, and paying annually gives a 20% discount.
    • Start includes 5 active job posts, email and calendar sync, and API access. Structured evaluation forms and candidate self-scheduling start on Advance.
    • Optimize adds API support and a testing environment.

Watch-out: The one-year minimum applies even if you pay monthly.

  • Teamtailor — One quote with every feature included, unlimited job postings, and unlimited users

Best for: a team that posts many jobs at once, wants every colleague in the system, and is set up to take a quote.

    • Teamtailor does not publish a price. Its pricing page asks about your company and comes back with a quote.
    • Teamtailor's pricing page lists unlimited job postings and unlimited users, and says everything is included.
    • Structured interviews and evaluations, smart scheduling, and Teamtailor AI with unlimited usage are listed as included, along with 450+ integrations and an open API.
    • No billing basis, minimum term, or trial is stated on the pricing page we checked.

Watch-out: The term is not on the pricing page, so ask for it on the call. Teamtailor against Recruitee is on our Teamtailor vs Recruitee page.

If you are moving off JazzHR.

Export first. Whichever alternative you pick, get your candidates, jobs, and applications out while your JazzHR account is still active. Our guide to switching from JazzHR walks through JazzHR's candidate CSV report, the bulk resume download, and the full data export, with links to JazzHR's own help articles.

Then check where the interview tools start. If you are on Hero and moving because you want interview guides, scorecards, or calendar sync, Ashby, Greenhouse, Workable, Teamtailor, and Yardstick include them on the first paid plan or offer. Breezy HR includes calendar sync on Startup and puts interview guides and scorecards on Growth, and Recruitee puts structured evaluation forms on Advance.

Then check the term and what the bill is based on. Recruitee commits you for a year, and Ashby and Workable price by company size. Yardstick bills monthly on open roles, at $49 a month plus $29 per open role after three free Jobs, and a role you close stops billing the next month.

Your JazzHR export goes into Yardstick preview-first. It brings your candidates, jobs, and applications with you, and your agent can convert the files for the importer. You see exactly what will be written, and nothing is written until you approve the dry run. For how a move works end to end, see switching to Yardstick. For more ATS prices on one page, see the ATS pricing comparison, and full Yardstick pricing is on the pricing page.

Common questions about JazzHR alternatives.

What is the best alternative to JazzHR?

We do not name one. The seven here differ on things you can check today: whether the price is published (Ashby, Breezy HR, Workable, and Yardstick publish; Greenhouse, Recruitee, and Teamtailor quote), what the bill is based on, whether there is a minimum term, and which plan includes interview guides and scheduling. Pick the column that matters to you and read down it.

Is there a free alternative to JazzHR?

Two of the seven have a free plan. Yardstick's first three Jobs are free, with the AI-designed interview guide, scorecards, scheduling, and the public API, CLI, and MCP included. Breezy HR's Bootstrap plan is free for one active position or candidate pool at a time. Workable publishes a 15-day trial, and Recruitee a free trial of unstated length. JazzHR has no free plan, and offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card required.

Which JazzHR alternatives are cheaper?

It depends on your JazzHR plan and how many roles you run at once. JazzHR Hero is $1,000 a year (about $83 a month) and Plus is $3,480 a year (about $290 a month). Yardstick is $49 a month plus $29 per open role after three free Jobs, so it moves with your open roles. That is $78 a month with one open role on Core, $136 with three, and $281 with eight. Against JazzHR Plus on yearly billing, Yardstick Core costs less up to eight open roles and more above that. Breezy HR starts at $157 a month on annual billing. Ashby ($300 a month at 1 to 10 employees) and Workable ($299 a month at 1 to 20 employees, billed annually) start above JazzHR Hero. Greenhouse, Recruitee, and Teamtailor quote.

Which alternatives include interview guides and scorecards on the entry plan?

Ashby (interview plans on Foundations), Greenhouse (interview kits and scorecards on Core), Workable (interview kits and scorecards on Standard), and Yardstick (on the free account). Teamtailor includes structured interviews and evaluations in its one offer. Breezy HR starts interview guides and scorecards on Growth, and Recruitee starts structured evaluation forms on Advance. At JazzHR, interview guides and candidate evaluation templates start on Plus.

Which alternatives include calendar sync on the first plan?

Ashby, Greenhouse, Recruitee, Workable, and Yardstick list calendar sync or interview scheduling on their entry plan, and Teamtailor includes smart scheduling in its one offer. Breezy HR includes calendar integration and self-scheduling from Startup, its first paid plan. Yardstick schedules on your team's own Cal.com or Calendly account. At JazzHR, the recruiting calendar with Google Calendar and Outlook sync starts on Plus.

Which alternatives have API access on every plan?

Ashby (API and MCP server), Recruitee, Teamtailor (open API, in its one offer), Workable (API, plus an MCP server its help center documents on all plans), and Yardstick (public API, CLI, and MCP, including the free account). At Breezy HR, API access is an option on Custom Pro. Greenhouse's pricing page does not state API access by plan and lists a developer sandbox on Pro. JazzHR documents an API publicly, without saying which plans include it.

How current is this list?

Every fact was read from the vendor's own pricing page on October 13, 2026. We recheck quarterly. If a vendor's page and this page disagree, the vendor's page wins.

Want the interview designed for the role, and your own agent running the admin?

Your first three Jobs are free, with the AI-designed interview guide and scorecard for each role, scheduling on your own Cal.com or Calendly, no seats to count, and the public API, CLI, and MCP on from day one. Your JazzHR export imports preview-first.
